ONE

Luca Zabbini’s first solo album, recorded entirely during the 2020 lockdown.

One was born from Luca Zabbini’s desire to create music different from his usual style, seeking an identity separate from Barock Project and progressive music. His compositions range from folk to Brit rock, and from swing to orchestral music, and are not always suitable for Barock Project. Those pieces, set aside for a time, were revisited and recorded during the first lockdown. This gave rise to One, an album where music and melody take center stage, with tracks written also on acoustic guitar and crafted exclusively for Luca’s voice.

Zabbini played all the instruments and handled the recording, mixing, and mastering, with the sole exception of the lyrics, which were written by Antonio De Sarno and Giorgio Franceschetti, who once again helped turn it into a finished product. There’s folk, pop, symphonic… many genres, and perhaps this is the true progressive, but if by “Prog” we mean the music written for Barock Project, that is not present here.
